Tad Braswell

Born In: Tad was born in Atlanta, GA which helped him develop his early fondness for the stunning architecture and exquisitely designed gardens found in many of the city’s most established neighborhoods.
Industry Expertise: Over the course of a colorful career, Tad has experienced involvement in land development, park designs, industrial designs and even site development for schools before finding his true calling in residential development.
Approach: Wishing to stay true to the feel of the traditional “Old Atlanta” community paired with his diverse background led to his unique application and approach to residential development. Tad aims to create an undeniable sense of place, with his developmental additions to the Atlanta neighborhoods serving as fabric seamlessly woven into the surrounding community with minimal impact on the environment.
Community Involvement: When he’s not working, giving back to the community and fostering the futures of young leaders are important pursuits. With two sons who are Eagle Scouts and a third who is a Boy Scout, Tad is deeply involved with Boy Scouts of America and also serves on the board for Druid Hills Golf Club and The Council for Quality Growth. Prior to launching Southwyck Homes with Edward Pease, Tad served as President of TND Development Corporation and Director of Development for Liberty Development Corporation.
Fun Fact: Tad once served on the task force to rewrite the DeKalb County, GA zoning code.
Inspiration: One of five kids with four of his own, Tad’s biggest inspiration is his very own family. He finds considerable rewards in creating personalized homes and neighborhoods for families at every stage of life.
